VIRTUAL TRY ON: What, Why and How

Shopping online has tons of advantages, the first ones being a time saver and saviour from the deadly city traffic. In today’s time when we can shop everything online, why should jewellery be left behind? Jewellery has quite a high ticket value that raises a lot of insecurity amongst buyers.

Many of you may have taken the leap of faith and ordered jewellery online. To make online shopping a smoother experience and encourage the youth to online more, we developed Virtual Try-On. This was to ensure that every buyer can try out their jewellery once before buying.

Enough of talking, it’s time to turn some jewellery virtually on. Before that, here’s a step-by-step guide to do it on your own:

  • Take a device with a front camera (phone, laptop or desktop with a webcam)
  • Visit and search for any earring, pendant or necklace.
  • Click the Virtual Try-On button.
  • Try your jewellery.
  • Alternatively, you can also try out some more similar designs without exiting the screen.

In the quest to overcome the gap between online and offline shopping, we brought this technology to Candere. What you see online isn’t always what you get. Just like you can wear a necklace at a store and assess how it looks on you, you can do the same at Candere before buying jewellery. However, the additional thing that you can do is wear the dress that you want to go with the jewellery and see how the final look works for you.

In order to make things a bit more smooth, you can try on more similar products from the same page if you don’t like the first one. Take a picture and share with your friends on Whastapp too (‘cause their opinion matters too)!

Also, keep in mind, that you can enjoy this amazing piece of tech only when you are doing online jewellery shopping at Candere. If you have any suggestion for us about our Virtual Try-On feature, let us know in the comments below and well send it across to our developers.

Enough of talking! Let’s get started with your favourite category – Earring, Pendant or Necklace.
